The Federal legislator pointed out that his constituency is lacking medical facilities and educational institutions, adding that if these bills are passed into laws, those challenges would be a thing of past.
“We are lacking medical facilities in my constituency and educational institutions. If these bills are passed into law, those challenges will be overcome. We are working round the clock to ensure that they see the light of the day and I pray at the end, we succeed in passing them both at the House of Representatives and the senate.”
He assure the people of his constituency that he is working with his colleagues at the National Assembly to get the bills passed.
“We are working together to achieve the feat. Members of the ninth Assembly, we are united and we are one family, regardless of our politics, religious and ethnic inclinations. We support each other when meaningful bills are presented either at the House of Representatives or at the Senate. Those bills I presented will improve the educational background and Health Care of my constituents, health they say is wealth. Education does not only stop in my constituency alone it should be extended to the nooks and crannies of Plateau state and indeed, the country as a whole.
“The bills are not for my constituency alone is for Plateau state and Nigeria in general. So I appeal to my colleagues members of the House of Representatives to support the bills so that at the end of the day, they will pass through second reading and public hearing and finally will pass into law.”
In his effort at ensuring that life is worth living for the people of his constituency, he made a practical effort to visit National Emergency Management Agency to solicit for relief materials for the victims of flood disaster.
“Some weeks back, I was in my constituency to assess and ascertained the level of destructions that was done to my constituents by flood and other natural disasters. I equally went to National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and solicited for relief materials, that was done and I took it to the affected victims.
“That is not the end; we are still working round the clock to assist the victims. You know these disasters are natural phenomenon, you cannot ascertained or predict, but we have been talking and appealing to our people not to build houses around river banks.” He said.
