2019 Elections: PVC-NAIJA Unveils Two Projects on Political Education

It was a night of the patriots as Project Victory Call Initiative rolls out plans to engage the Nigerian masses in a multi-platforms and robust discuss towards eradicating political ignorance in the country especially as the 2019 General Elections draws nearer.

 

At a dinner program tagged: Night 4 Naija, held in Ikeja, the capital city of Lagos yesterday, the group unveils two different projects; CPE and Nupro through which Nigerians will be enlightened to make an informed political decision.

 

Also known as PVC-Naija, the group- a non-governmental Organization, NGO, also used the occasion to engage some political stakeholders from across the country to an exclusive political reappraisals, recognitions and awards.

 

Dr. Bolaji Akinyemi, President of the NGO stated PVC-Naija is a political advocacy and education organization, interfacing with the electorates on the need to change the orders of things in Nigeria. He added that the need to change the leadership dynamics of Nigeria birthed PVC-Naija.

 

Unveiling the new project CPE (Community Political Education), the group’s Director of Public Engagements, Lady Gloria Ogwu explained how special feedback mechanism from the rural communities could serve as catalysts to Nigerian political emancipation. She said rural men and women, market women, artisans are the main target of this project.

 

Leo Omosebi, Director of Projects sheds more light on Project Nupro aimed at developing undergraduates Nigerians for intellectual leadership responsibilities.

 

It was argued that a Nigerian of 18 years old will be 50 years in the year 2050 and that this is the estimated year the United Nations projected that the country would be the third largest after China and India. Hence according to PVC-Naija, “the preparation for 2050 must start now by those who will be leaders in 2050 to manage the reality 2050 will portend to their generation.

 

The event was raps off with dinner, goodwill messages and presentations of awards of recognitions to few Nigerians. Abdullahi Abubakar was awarded PVC-Naija Peace & Love Ambassador for the singular role he played as Muslim cleric who saved over 300 people majorly Christians from the dredful herdsmen in Barki Ladin Local Government from Plateau State.

 

Other awardees include Hon. Davematics David E. Ombugadu, PDP Gubernatorial Candidate in Nasara state, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, Senior Pastor of Trinity House, Engineer Daniel David Kadzai, Chairman of Kadoptimist Engineering Company, Abuja, Hon. Boma Goodhead, Politician and Member Federal House of Representative from Rivers State, Adegoke Adelabu, Oyo state APC gubernatorial candidate and famous entertainer, Daddy Showkey.
