Former Assembly member and Vice Chairman, Lokoja Local Government Area, Honourable Danladi Bababudan stated this in Lokoja while reacting to the demise of former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris.
Bababudan who described the passing of the former Governor as a huge loss to the state and the entire nation emphasized that he will always be remembered as a leader who believes in the oneness of the nation.
He said his contributions to academic setting, infrastructural development and deep interest in matters that concerns the survival of the less privilege will not be forgotten.
The former lawmaker called for the establishment of monuments to immortalize his name and preseves his ideals.
He also commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his impact in giving the political icon a befitting burial noting that such thoughtful impact will go a long way to strengthen the bond among the people of the state.
While praying for the peaceful repose of his soul, Bababudan urged the immediate family to take solace in the fact that late Ibrahim Idris was a devoted Muslim who had lived a fulfilled life.
