Ab Ibrahim Backs Alfred Attahiri, Calls for Fairness in Gombe South Politics

A youth politician in Gombe State, Abdulhamid Ibrahim, has urged the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and relevant authorities to comply with court orders in the interest of fairness and justice to all political parties.

Abdulhamid Ibrahim made the call while speaking to our reporter in Gombe on political developments in Gombe South, particularly in Billiri and Balanga constituencies.

The politician, who hails from Bambam in Balanga Local Government Area, commended the administrations of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for their achievements.

However, he stressed the need for strict adherence to the rule of law and respect for judicial decisions to ensure fairness in the political process.

According to Ibrahim, a High Court had directed that a fresh primary election be conducted within 30 days, adding that, as of the time of his remarks, only 11 days remained before the deadline, with no visible steps taken towards implementing the directive.

He further described Alfred Attahiri as one of the promising young politicians in Gombe South who should be given an opportunity to contest and test his popularity among the electorate.

The youth politician appealed to the relevant authorities to ensure compliance with the court order, warning that failure to address the matter could create challenges for the constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He maintained that respecting the court’s directive would promote fairness, strengthen democratic processes and protect the political interests of the people of Gombe South.
