Kwara Govt Makes List of 12 Most Trusted by Residents in Nigeria

The Kwara State Government has emerged one of the 12 state governments in Nigeria that are most trusted by citizens and residents for service delivery, responsiveness and performance.

This is contained in a report issued by StatiSense, a leading data outfit, for July 2026.

Nigerians generally have low confidence in leaders and public institutions.

However, the new report assessed all the 36 states in the country including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), with Kwara being the only state in the entire North to make the cut.

Lagos recorded the highest governance trust score at 52.3%.

Under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Kwara has turned several pages on the governance front, with workers welfare now a top priority, education and health facilities receiving new investments, and critical infrastructures being put in place.

The AbdulRazaq administration has delivered for Kwara an Innovation Hub, the biggest in West Africa, a Garment Factory, Sugar Film Factory, two flyovers in the state capital, a multistorey Revenue House, and several interventions on road.

Several backlogs of salaries, pension arrears, and gratuities owed by previous administrations in the state have also been cleared under AbdulRazaq, with promotions being regularly implemented for state and local government workers.

AbdulRazaq is the Kwara Central senatorial candidate of APC in the forthcoming 2027 polls.
