The new Project Coordinator of the Nigeria for Women Program Scale-Up Project (NFWP-SU) in Gombe State, Hajiya Hauwa Ibrahim Hassan, has pledged to operate an open-door policy to promote teamwork, unity and the successful implementation of the programme.
Hajiya Hauwa Ibrahim Hassan made the commitment while addressing members of the State Project Coordinating Unit (SPCU) in Gombe.
She called for greater cooperation, mutual respect and teamwork among staff, stressing that the success of the programme depends on the collective efforts and commitment of all members of the unit.
The Project Coordinator urged staff to remain focused on the objectives of the Nigeria for Women Program Scale-Up Project and work together to improve the livelihoods and economic opportunities of women across the state.
Hajiya Hauwa Ibrahim Hassan said she looked forward to working closely with members of staff to advance the progress of the programme and contribute to the overall development of Gombe State.
She stressed that the success of the programme depends on teamwork, unity and the commitment of every member of the State Project Coordinating Unit, urging staff to work together towards achieving the project’s objectives and improving the lives of women in state.
Responding, the Head of Operations (HOP), Muhammad Umar Farouk , pledged the support and cooperation of the SPCU to the new Project Coordinator.
He said the unit would continue to work in line with the Project Development Objective, which is to institutionalise Women Affinity Groups and other platforms for women’s empowerment and to enhance economic opportunities of unbanked women.
Muhammad Umar Farouk assured the Project Coordinator that the SPCU would work with her to sustain the gains recorded by the programme and achieve its objectives in Gombe State.
The HOP called for continued collaboration among the various components of the project, while stressing the importance of adherence to the Terms of Reference (TOR) of officers to ensure clear responsibilities, effective implementation and greater impact on women beneficiaries across the state.
