Family, friends, religious leaders, and well-wishers gathered on Thursday at the Malali GRA residence of Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia, the Dan Amanar Fune Emirate, in Kaduna, to observe the 3rd Day Fidau prayer for the late Ajia Ogbonde Matriarch, Alhaji Mohammed Jamiu Toyin Ajia.

The solemn event was marked by deep spiritual reflection and heartfelt tributes as the Muslim community came together to honor the memory of a man described as a devoted father, a community leader, and a humble servant of God.

The 3rd Day Fidau prayers was led by Imam War College Estate Mosque, Gwarimpa Abuja, Dr Aliyu Musa.

The prayer session was led by Imam of War College Estate, Gwarimpa Abuja, Dr. Aliyu Musa who was supported by Missioner of the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Alhaji Suleiman Ameenullahi Obalowu Ayigoro, supported by several prominent Ulamah from within and outside Kaduna.

The gathering featured a complete recitation of the Holy Qur’an, alongside selected chapters and special supplications, all seeking Allah’s forgiveness for the late Alhaji Mohammed Jamiu Ajia’s shortcomings and praying for his soul to be granted Aljannatul Firdaus.

Speaking during the Fiday prayer Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia, son of the deceased and the Dan Amanar Fune Emirate, expressed deep gratitude to friends, associates, and religious leaders who came from far and near to join the family in prayers. He described his late father as a man of rare virtues, humility, and generosity.

Similarly, Alhaji Kazeem Muhammed Ajia reflects on their father’s unwavering commitment to family and community, describing him as a pillar of strength who always placed the needs of others above his own.

Another son, Mr. AbdulMumeen Muhammed Ajia, also shared an emotional tribute, recalling his father’s passion for education, community service, and spiritual growth.

The Fidau prayer drew guests from various walks of life — community leaders, business associates, clerics, political figures, and well-wishers — thronging the Ajia family residence in Kaduna. The massive turnout, according to attendees, was a testament to the late Ajia’s simple lifestyle, strong ties with the community, and the deep respect he commanded among his people.

In their collective tributes, the family, friends, and associates described Alhaji Mohammed Jamiu Toyin Ajia as a man who embodied the teachings of Islam — living with humility, integrity, and compassion.

They prayed for Allah’s infinite mercy upon his soul and urged everyone present to emulate his values of kindness, tolerance, and service to humanity.

Among the dignitaries at the Fidau prayer is Alhaji Abdullahi Shamaki, Hon. Zakari Yusuf, MFR, Alhaji Danjuma Dano, Alhaji Ahmed Arisco, Mallam Abdulrasheed Haruna Hamza, Alhaji Goni Attahiru Shuaibu, Kano among many others.

The event concluded with special prayers for the entire Ajia family, asking Allah to strengthen them and grant them the fortitude to bear the loss while preserving the late patriarch’s legacy of faith and goodwill.
