Gold Medalist, Bashir Murtador Meets Prof. Ali Ahmad

A Gold Medalist, Bashir Murtador, who represented Nigeria in Mali, was earlier today received by the former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, who is also the Director-General of the Kwara PDP Campaign Council, Prof. Ali Ahmad at the latter’s residence.

This is contained in a statement e-Signed by Mr. Lawal Akanbi Sharafadeen,, the Director Media, Kwara State PDP Campaign Council and made available to newsmen in Ilorin.

Accorrding to the statement, “Prof. Ali Ahmad played host to the gold medalist alongside Kwara State Karate Association, who were at his GRA-Ilorin residence to appreciate him over his support for the sporting association.

“The DG who was full of appreciation while receiving an “Award of Excellence as a Worthy Role Model” presented to him by the association, congratulated the gold medalist, Bashir Murtador for making the state and nation proud.

“He charged the African and National Gold medalists to continue to be good ambassadors of the young people as he pledged to continually support the Association.

“He described Bashir as a proud ambassador of the state, saying the medal was a confirmation of his dedication and determination.”

It further stated that, “I am honoured by this visit and I heartily congratulate our own son and a proud ambassador of Kwara State, Bashir Murtador for winning a gold medal for the country in Mali.

“You have made us proud and we are glad. You have emerged one of the best in the sporting engagements, so the success recorded in this national assignment is a confirmation of your dedication and determination,” he noted.

“I am seizing this opportunity to reassure the Kwara State Karate Association of an unalloyed support in my private capacity.

“However, if our party, the PDP is voted back into power, our administration shall continue to support and empower the youth by harnessing their potentials to create job, add value and develop the society,” he said.
