Tinubu Appoints 11 CEOs in Art, Culture and Creative Industry

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given an approval to 11 Chief Executive Officers of the agencies under the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative economy.

This is contained in a statement issued by presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale on Friday.

In the statement, popular Kannywood actor, producer and director, Ali Nuhu has been made the Managing Director, Nigerian Film Corporation.

Also, Shaibu Husseini, a Nigerian journalist, performing artist, Cultural administrator, PR and Media Expert and film curator, has been appointed the Director-General, National Films and Censors Board.

Tola Akerele has been appointed the Director-General, National Theatre, while Aisha Adamu Augie is now the Director-General, Centre for Black and African Arts and Culture (CBAAC).

(5) Ekpolador-Ebi Koinyan — Chief Conservator, National War Museum

(6) Ahmed Sodangi — Director-General, National Gallery of Art

(7) Chaliya Shagaya — Director-General, National Institute of Archeology and Museums Studies

(8) Hajiya Khaltume Bulama Gana — Artistic Director, National Troupe of Nigeria

(9) Otunba Biodun Ajiboye — Director-General, National Institute for Cultural Orientation

(10) Ali Nuhu — Managing-Director, Nigerian Film Corporation

(11) Ramatu Abonbo Mohammed — Director-General, National Commission for Museums and Monuments

According to Ngelale, Tinubu has mandated the appointees to discharge their duties in accordance with the highest standards of professionalism, diligence, and patriotism with a view to making the creative sector more vibrant and robust.
