In a resounding victory for faith and justice, the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Church, along with its revered General Overseer, Pastor Daniel Kayode Olukoya, has won a defamation lawsuit against a Nigerian blogger, Funke Asekun, who currently resides in the United States. After a grueling legal battle, a US jury unanimously ruled in favor of MFM, awarding damages amounting to $50,000 to the church.

For over three years, Funke Asekun had taken to social media platforms to spread baseless accusations and falsehoods about MFM and its esteemed leadership, in an attempt to smear their reputation and undermine their good work. However, her deceitful actions were brought to an end as Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (US) successfully prosecuted the claims against her.

With unwavering determination, Mountain of Fire USA, along with its three pastors Grace Ugeh, Kunle Ladipo, and Adekunle Adekola, took the matter to court, seeking justice and reparation for the damages inflicted upon the reputation of the church and its spiritual leaders.

In a significant victory for the church and the General Overseer, the jury unanimously found Funke Asekun guilty of defaming Mountain of Fire and portraying its pastors in a false light.

The jury’s verdict leaves no doubt about the impact of Funke Asekun’s malicious posts on the reputation of MFM and its leaders. The awarded amount of $50,000 encompasses the full extent of damages claimed by Mountain of Fire USA, further cementing the victory and serving as a deterrent to those who seek to tarnish the name of the church.

Mounting a strong defense, Mountain of Fire’s lead counsel, Gilbert Garcia, expressed his satisfaction with the jury’s decision, stating that their verdict vindicated the position of the ministry. The church, well-known for its unwavering commitment to spirituality and community development, can now celebrate not only a legal victory but also the preservation of its good name.

The Church emphasized that this triumph reflected the resilience and unyielding faith of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries. He commended the dedication of Pastor Olukoya and the entire congregation, who have continued to serve as a testament to the transformative power of spirituality.

As MFM rejoices in this victory, it sends a strong message to those who maliciously spread false information: the unwavering faith of believers cannot be shaken, and justice will prevail even in the face of deceit and slander. The MFM community, both in Nigeria and abroad, stands unified, ready to overcome any obstacles and continue its mission to spread mercy, miracles, and divine healing to all.
