Veteran Journalist Kabir Yusuf Passes Away, Tinubu Offers Condolences

In a somber announcement, President Bola Tinubu expressed his deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Kabir Yusuf, a veteran journalist who passed away on Tuesday.

Mr. Yusuf, who served as the Federal Capital Territory correspondent for The Triumph Newspaper and Radio France Internationale Hausa, was a respected figure in the Nigerian media community.

For many years, Mr. Yusuf covered the State House with dedication and professionalism, earning a reputation for his insightful reporting and unwavering commitment to the truth.

His passing marks the end of an era in Nigerian journalism, where he was known for his profound understanding and articulate expression.

In a press statement issued by presidential spokesman, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, on Wednesday, the President acknowledged Mr. Yusuf’s significant contributions to the field.

“The President prays for the repose of the soul of the departed and comfort to his family in this time of grief and always,” the statement read.
