DG NILST Pledges to Take the Institute to a Greater Heights

The Newly appointed Director General, Nigeria Institute of Leather  Science and Technology Dr Auwal Mustapha Imam pledged to use his administrative  experience in uplifting the institute to a greater height.

Dr Auwal Mustapha Imam stated this while addressing the management and staff of the Agency shortly after his assumption of office as the DG/CEO at NILES  Headquarters on Tuesday 11th November, 2023.
The new Director General stressed that under his administration, the institute would play critical roles in supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic, innovative and technology Agenda through the institute  experienced  Graduates and  ambassadors that will drive its mandates for research and national development.
He said during his tenure the NILES as a tertiary training and research institute which specialises in manufacturing, processing and production of leather and allied products using science technology will create significant impact in the nation’s economy.
The new Director General, reaffirmed his commitment towards running an open door policy that every member of the society can contribute and solicit the support of both the staff and the students in discharging his responsibility effectively.
Dr Auwal Mustapha Imam promised to improve staff welfare packages and provide conducive teaching and leaning environment
He said apart from diploma, certificates programmes awarded the institute will  commence degree programme through  collaborations with  relevant,  ministries and  agencies.
Dr Auwal Imam, appreciated President Bola Tinubu and the speaker National House of representatives Dr Tajuddeen Abbas for the mandate reposed on him and promised to  execute his duties effectively.
