NCC Enforces Licensee Contact Updates for Improved Oversight, Communication

1 Mins read

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has issued a directive to all its licensees to ensure compliance with the Licensing Regulations 2019 by updating their contact details within seven days of any changes. This move is aimed at bolstering regulatory oversight and maintaining seamless communication with licensees.

In a statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs, Reuben Muoka, the Commission emphasized the need for licensees to provide accurate and up-to-date information, including:

Physical address of the principal place of business (including postcode, geographic coordinates, and landmarks)

Mailing address (if different from the physical address)

Email addresses

Telephone numbers

Names and details of contact personnel

The updates are to be submitted via the NCC’s eServices platform at https://eservices.ncc.gov.ng by January 9, 2025.

Sanctions for Non-Compliance
The NCC warned that licensees who fail to comply with this directive or cannot be located at their registered physical address will face appropriate sanctions.

The Commission also reassured licensees of its commitment to effective regulatory practices and encouraged them to act promptly. For further inquiries, stakeholders can contact licensing@ncc.gov.ng.

This directive underscores the NCC’s dedication to fostering a well-regulated telecommunications environment in Nigeria.
