Olowu of Orile Owu Debunks Dethronment Rumours

The Olowu of Orile-Owu in Ayedaade Local Government Area of Osun State, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dauda Ajolola Akinfalabi has denied the fake rumour of his dethronement as the Oba of Orile- Owu.

Oba Akinfalabi confirmed this to Journalists on Thursday stating that the choice of Olowu was clear as the court ruling favored him.

The Olowu also confirmed that he won in 2016 at the High Court,Osogbo, where the then Governor, Rauf Aregbesola presented him with the Staff of Office.

” It is all fake when some people start paddling rumor that Olowu has been dethrone. I am the legit Olowu of Orile-Owu.

” I am a product of court because the appeal court also rule that the case should restart and gave an order that another judge should be presented to try it.

” Retrial is different from dethronement of Oba. I am not dethroned as being interpreted by some gullibles,” he said.

His royal majesty also debunked the rumour that he sold community land to acquire palm oil, adding that he has not been poor before he became the Oba.

He also disclosed that they allocated a land to people who promised to build airport and put some on lease and as well open account on how the money would be disbursed to the community development.

According to him, Orile Owu has lost major gigantic projects like University and Research Institute due to refusal to release land for use.

He stressed that industrial hurb, farm settlement which was establish in Orile Owu during the eras of Awolowo is still in existence and to the benefits of the community.

He also stressed that it was the good work of his late father that made him a king and not just any form of shortcut.

Olowu highlighted that he has embarked on renovation of palace, built a customary court, renovated Orile Owu Grammar School and Staff quarters which will benefit entire Orile owu community.

Path of the Oba’s achievements is purchase of Bus and car for the palace use by the chiefs and building of Divisional police Station to strengthen security in the community.
