1 Mins read

Ambassador Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki-Gambari fondly called AMBA by his admirer needs no introduction in Kwara State politics terrain. He is a respected Political Figure in the state with acceptability spreading across party lines.

Yahaya Seriki is young but not a Gen Z in politics. He has been around for over two decades playing politics without bitterness. He is using political engagement to promote community development and support the vulnerable persons in the society.

You cannot accuse one of the golden sons of Ilorin of joining politics to enrich himself. The Star boy of Gambari in Ilorin East local government is just looking for opportunity to add value, contribute his quota towards nation building and national development.

The successful Business Mogul and President/CEO of Kursi Investment was conferred with the award of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) in 2023 by late President Muhammadu Buhari for his contributions to national development and consistent humanitarian gesture.

His political philosophy is worthy of emulation. Yahaya Seriki is humble, sincere and has genuine spirit of love. He plays politics with maturity and playing humanity first. He builds bridges of unity and doesn’t allow political affiliation to create unnecessary friction with people. Overall, Yahaya Seriki doesn’t inherit people’s enemies but would never compromise loyalty to his political party.

From his days at DPP alongside with Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim to the Peoples Democratic Party and later join Kwara Progressives Coalition to promote OTOGE revolution, Yahaya Seriki has consistently preaches love in the midst of conflicting political interests.

In build up to 2019 general elections, the Ilorin born Politician was the first governorship Aspirant to collapse his structure for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq after emerging as APC candidate. He also converted his campaign Office to Party Campaign Office for Kwara Central. His dedication and commitment to APC accounted for his appointment as Campaign Director General for Governorship election in 2019 and 2023. He displayed his political sagacity and also deploys personal resources to support Party campaigns.

The APC Chieftain who will clock 50 years on October 8 remains a respected agent of unity that has been promoting unity, love, perseverance and tolerance among Party faithful.

Political Watchers believe that a unifier with political sagacity, network and social capital like Amb Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki-Gambari can help APC consolidate on its gains come 2027. Yahaya Seriki is ready and capable!
