The Agricultural and Rural Management Training Institute (ARMTI) has struck a partnership with the Abia State government to revolutionize the practice of agriculture in the state through strategic interventions including training, rural development and empowerment initiatives towards wealth creation and empowerment for farmers in the state.

The collaboration was sealed during the week when Executive Director/CEO of ARMTI, Dr Olufemi Oladunni led a high powered delegation to a strategic meeting with the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti.

Speaking at the meeting, the governor stressed his firm belief that agriculture holds a veritable key to unlock economic transformation and set his people on the track towards wealth creation.

The governor explained that the state only recently concluded a training for about 200 youths that included empowerment, ‘now with ARMTI on board, we can proceed to on-board successive batches, under the technical guidance and expertise of ARMTI.

In his response, the Executive Director of ARMTI, Dr Olufemi Oladunni expressed appreciation to the Governor for his revolutionary policies and approach to governance while thanking him for making the state available for ARMTI to launch its operations in the south east.

He praised the speedy manner in which a facility was made available for the institute to use for its operations while commending the effectiveness of the set up of the governor’s team.

The ARMTI SE regional office would be housed in the premises of the Greater Ohafia Development Authority (GODA) from where ARMTI’s operations and activities in the region would be launched.

ARMTI’s regional training centres (RTCs) provide an avenue for more pemetrative and direct impact to the remote, rural areas for full effect of government policies and interventions
