Kogi Vigilante Boss Advocates Moderation, Youth Engagement to Curb Crime

The people of Kogi State have been urged to always apply the principle of moderation in their activities to eradicate frustration that could lead to criminal tendencies.

Comptroller General, Kogi State Vigilante Services, Sanni Omeiza Ibrahim gave the advice while speaking with newsmen in Lokoja.

Ibrahim said festive period is usually characterized by events with people struggling to meet deadlines and urged all citizens to always operate within their lawfully acquired resources.

He explained that the attempt to satisfy the demands of the society can plunge individuals into temptation and called for moderation of lifestyle.

The comptroller particularly appealed to youths to disassociate from issues luring them into crime and explore windows of opportunities initiated by states and federal government for positive engagements.

He praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the release of appointment letters to officers and men of the Vigilante Services which he described as a morale booIbrahiml

Mr Ibrahim urged the his men to live up to expectation as a grassroot security services by nipping crime in the bud.

While urging the people to continue to comply to the directives of the state government in the aspect of security, the Controller also approved the introduction of security study into school curriculum.
