Ajia Commiserates with Regional Editor, Leadership Newspapers, Olesin over Mother’s Death

The All Progressives Congress Cheiftain and the Dan Amanan Fune Emirate of Yobe State, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia, Ph.D has expressed heartfelt condolences to the North Central Regional Editor of Leadership Newspapers, Alhaji Abdullahi Hanafi Olesin, and the entire Olesin family of Okelele, Ilorin, over the passing of their beloved mother, Alhaja Munirat Hanafi Imam Olesin.

Alhaja Munirat passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia described the deceased as a virtuous, devout and responsible woman who lived a life of faith, dignity and service to her family and community.

In a statement issued and signed by Ajia’s Director of Communications and Strategy, Mallam Abdulrahman Aliagan and made available to journalists noted that the death of a mother is a painful loss, particularly for the children and family she leaves behind, but the family can take solace in the exemplary life she lived and the values she instilled in her children and the wider community.

The Dan Amanan Fune Emirate commiserates with Alhaji Abdullahi Olesin and the entire Olesin family of Okelele, Ilorin, urging them to remain steadfast in faith and trust in the mercy and wisdom of Almighty Allah at this difficult moment.

Alhaji Ajia prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of Alhaja Munirat, accept her good deeds, grant her Aljanat Firdaus, and make her grave a place of peace and light.

He also prayed Allah to grant Alhaji Abdullahi Olesin, his siblings and the entire family the strength, comfort, and fortitude to bear the loss.
