2023: What north is doing to ensure Osinbajo’s Presidency

1 Mins read

A prominent member of Osinbajo for President, Mallam Salihu Nataro has said the need to revolutionalise the education and economic sectors is why progressive northern leaders in the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) insist that Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, should be supported with the party’s 2023 Presidential ticket.

He said that the effort to get Osinbajo to run has gained traction, stressing that his group is currently engaged in working expeditiously to resolve ‘differences’ between the Vice President and the hardworking former Lagos State governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the Jagaban.

Nataro disclosed that studies have shown that the educational sector, especially the university system, would receive the much needed autonomy under an Osinbajo Presidency.

He added that the Vice President fits into the 60-age loop being advocated by a former military President, Ibrahim Babangida, adding that the responsibility of refocusing the country’s leadership rests on such calibre of emergent leaders.

Nataro, who is also a representative of Labaratorious Richmond, the Pharmaceutical company currently producing the Russian Sputnik V Covid Vaccine based in Argentian, South America, said Osinabjo’s Presidency would push forward Nigeria’s healthcare system.

On the area of Judicial reforms, Nataro said many Nigerians have not forgotten how Prof. osinbajo helped to drive the Lagos State Judiciary, remarking that the innovative Alternative Dispute Resolution he pioneered would help to decongest custodial centres.

He stated: “We have passed the wish stage. We are working on how to smoothen relationship between the Vice President and the hardworking Jagaban so that nothing frustrates the Southwest bloc votes.

“The other thing is the strong belief among progressive northern politicians that Osinbajo as President will revolutionise all sectors, like education, healthcare, judiciary, agriculture and defence industry to make it more domestic to enable our military design and produce various missiles.

“Osinbajo as President will fine-tune all our foreign MoUs (Memorandum of Understandings), especially the ones signed by late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua with Medved of Russia to train our youth on space Technology and again to generate electricity through nuclear.”
