Accountants Urged to Apply Expertise After Donor-Funded Projects Training in Lokoja

Participants at the just concluded training of Accountants on Donor Funded Projects have been urged to bring to bare their experiences in their respective undertakings as professionals in their fields.

The Head, Project Financial Management Unit World Bank Assisted, Mallam Aliu Abdulazeez gave the charge shortly after the training of Accountants which was held in Lokoja.

Mallam Abdulazeez who stressed the need for training and retraining of Accountants attached to Donor Funded Projects’ Office in the State, said the exercise will enhance their functionality at their duty post and as well equip them with modern technique in the accounting system.

He expressed delight over the turn out of participants, assuring that more training will be organized for professional Accountants to step up their imputes towards the accounting system of the Donor Funded Projects and the requisitions of the banking sector.

The Head of the Unit described Donor Funded Projects as developmental, social or research initiatives funded by external sources particularly the World Bank and expressed appreciation to the trainees for putting their best in terms of interest and devotion.

He maintained that the participants will no doubt develop multi tax ability skills including; accurate financial records keeping, documentation of financial transactions as well as various computer applications to enhance their productivity in the World Bank Projects.

Mallam Abdulazeez thanked Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and the State Accountant General Hajia, Doctor Habibat Tijjani for their cooperation towards capacity building of staff of the Unit assuring that each percipant will be presented a certificate at the end of the training.
