Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia, the Dan Amanan Fune Emirate of Yobe State and Nwanne Ukwu Di Na Mba of Amaba-Ukwu Item in Abia State, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians in Kwara State and across Nigeria, calling for renewed commitment to the values of sacrifice, love, and national unity.
Ajia, in a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja by his Director of Communications, Mallam Abdulrahman Aliagan, described Easter as a sacred season symbolizing hope, redemption, and the triumph of light over darkness through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He urged Christians to reflect on the spiritual significance of the season by imbibing its core teachings in their daily lives and applying them in their relationships and contributions to nation-building.
According to him, “Easter reminds us of the enduring values of sacrifice, humility, love, and redemption. These virtues are essential not only for personal growth but also for fostering peace, unity, and progress in our country.”
Ajia called on Nigerians to use the occasion to commit the affairs of the nation into the hands of Almighty God, stressing the need for divine guidance in addressing the country’s challenges.
“As we approach the 2027 general elections, Nigerians must remain prayerful and hopeful. We must pray for improved security, socioeconomic stability, and a peaceful, transparent, and credible political transition,” he said.
He further encouraged Nigerians, particularly the youth, to embrace self-reliance through productive ventures that can guarantee a more secure and promising future, noting that innovation, hard work, and enterprise are critical to overcoming prevailing economic challenges.
Ajia reaffirmed his commitment to the unity, peace, and development of Nigeria, urging citizens to work collectively toward building a better society.
