The Dan Amanan Fune Emirate titleholder and Nwanne Ukwu Di Na Mba of Amaba-Ukwu Item in Abia State, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia, on Sunday paid a condolence visit to Daudu Agaka over the passing of the family matriarch, Hajia Afusat Kawu Agaka.

Ajia was received by the Dan’Iya of Ilorin, Engr. Suleiman Bolakale Kawu, at their ancestral home in Agaka, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

The visit followed the death of Hajia Afusat Kawu Agaka, who passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the age of 87.

During a private meeting, Ajia urged Daudu Agaka and the entire family to take solace in what he described as the fulfilled and impactful life lived by the deceased. He noted that the late matriarch left behind enduring legacies reflected in the unity, discipline and values upheld by her children and extended family.

“At 87, Mama lived a meaningful life devoted to family, faith and community. You should be consoled by the fact that she lived well and raised a responsible household that continues to benefit society,” Ajia said.

The Ilorin-born businessman and security expert offered prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased and for strength and fortitude for the family she left behind.

As part of the condolence rites, Ajia ordered a special prayer session led by the Chief Imam of Agric Estate, Alhaji Ismaeel Olodomeji, seeking divine forgiveness for the departed and comfort for the bereaved family.

He also extended his sympathies to other members of the Kawu family, describing the late Hajia Afusat Kawu Agaka as a respected elder whose memory would remain cherished within and beyond the community.

Family members expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as a strong demonstration of solidarity, honour and respect for the deceased.
