Congratulates Muslims on New Islamic Calendar

An Abuja based non-governmental and faith-based organisation, Al-Bushra Islamic Education Development and Awareness Foundation has advocated unity, peaceful and understanding amongst Ummah, noting that only when Muslims across the globe speak with one voice that they can overcome challenges facing them.

The Foundation stated this in a statement issued in Abuja on the first day of Muharam, 1443AH marking the beginning of new Islamic calendar and signed by the Director Media, Publicity and Strategy, Malam Abdulrahman Aliagan. 

“The unity of Ummah is not negotiable, we must come together and speak with one voice to overcome numerous challenges facing Muslims across the globe.”

The Foundation pointed out that the problems facing Islam and Islamic scholarship in Nigeria cannot be overemphasized, adding that Islamic education has been confronting with the challenges of acceptability, resources and enlightenment.

Aliagan added that, “Islamic education has not promotes Islamization of knowledge aims at reshaping all the branches of human knowledge in accordance with the Islamic view and reality. 

He maintained that there should be vigorous enlightenment campaign on the merits of Islamic education in all facets of knowledge and lives generally. 

The statement further reads that, “Systematic campaign and enlightenment programme on the promotion if Islam and Islamic education should be given priority attention otherwise the idea would be misconstrued and negatively presented to members of the public by people with numerous agenda to discredit Islam and Muslim.

The Foundation however congratulates Muslims world over on the occasion of New Islamic Calendar (1443AH.)

The Foundation urged Muslim to see the new Islamic year as a year of hope, unity and harmonious living among Muslim in Nigeria.

Al-Bushra is a faith-based organisation that stands as an umbrella body where Islam and Islamic Scholarship would be developed and promoted along all other Islamic related programmes for the purpose of entrenching proper Islamic understanding and making positive impact on the lives of Muslims and non-Muslims in Nigerian society.

The Foundation aims to promote the beauty of Islam and what Islam stands to achieve in any given society. Among the flagship programmes of the Foundation is Islam 101, a TV Programme, Al-Bushra Islamic Newspaper publication, Inter-faith Discussion Forum, New to Deen Data Collection and Welfare programme, Zakat Administration and distribution, Community Development Programme, Annual Hajj programme, Islamic Lectures, Seminar, Workshop among others
