Alao-Akala Reacts to Sunday Dare’s Inauguration as Minister of Youth, Sports

Former Governor of  Oyo State, Otunba Christopher Alao-Akala has reacted to the appointment of Sunday Dare as Minister of Youth and Sports.

Alao-Akala, in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan, described Dare’s portfolio as “very sensitive” which has a major contribution to the success of Nigeria.

“President Muhammadu Buhari’s choice of Mr. Sunday Dare as a federal minister is very laudable,” he said. “He is not only a politician but also a technocrat of international repute who will bring to bear, his rich pool of experience to galvanise the needed support for Mr. President’s next level agenda,” he said.

He added that “the Honourable Minister who was  posted to a very sensitive ministry – Youths and Sports should give his best in tackling high wave of unemployment bedeviling the country. “The success of his ministry is undoubtedly the success of Nigeria”,Alao Akala added. ”

Both the Minister and Alao Akala hail from, Ogbomoso, Oyo North Senatorial District.

Noting that, “Mr. Sunday Dare optimally delivered in his previous public service assignments” Alao-Akala expressed confidence that the new Youth and Sports Minister, who he described as a result-oriented person, “has the required capacity to help move Nigeria to the next level of economic prosperity.”

Alao-Akala noted that all those who made the ministerial list from the South-West have credible track records of performance and urged them to do the Yoruba nation proud in their national callings.

The former ADP governorship candidate concluded by calling on the people of Oyo State and the state chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC)  to support  Dare with  prayers as he resumes at his new duty post.
