APAAC Elects New Executives, Holds Inaugural Meeting

The newly elected Chairman of the Advertising Practitioners’ Association Abuja Chapter (APAAC), Mr Ibrahim Aliyu, Friday presided over the first executive meeting following the election of new executives who are to serve the association for the next two years.

 

Aliyu, the newly-elected APAAC Chairman is the Managing Director/CEO of Rocky Diamonds Resourcery Limited. Others sworn-in alongside the Chairman as member of the new executive team are Kabir  Bello as Vice Chairman, Austyn Agabi, Secretary;  Aliyu Mudi Suleiman, Assistant Secretary; Oru Leonard, Publicity Secretary; Prince Shola Rotimi, Social Secretary;  Lilian Mann, Treasurer;  Patience  Bissalla, Assistant Social Secretary; and Ethel Igboeche as Financial Secretary.

 

Speaking after the first executive meeting, Aliyu promised to grow the association to attract new members, promote professionalism, encourage entrepreneurship and networking among members to enable the association lives up to its aims and objectives.

 

He however presented his action plan to the members for deliberations as he calls for cooperation among the exco so that the entire members of the association will see the vision of the team and the need to remain in the association.

 

In his remarks, the Vice Chairman, Bello Kabir advised the member of the executives to relate closely with one another in order to achieve efficiency.

Advertising Practitioners’ Association Abuja Chapter (APAAC) is an umbrella body approved by APCON for all advertising practitioners in the North Central Zone.

 

The association was founded in 2009, among its major objectives to promote the exchange of ideas, understanding and development of advertising as well as the enhancement of cordial relationship among practitioners and their clientele. It also seeks to promote the business of advertising in Abuja particularly and Nigeria in general.

 

Members of the association meet every first Wednesday of the month at APCON office in Abuja and membership is open to all practitioners of advertising in Abuja.
