The APC–Initiative for Good Governance (APC-IGG) has expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing its National Coordinator, Ambassador Muhammed Musa Tsoken, as the Secretary to the Federal Character Commission (FCC).
In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Professors’ Wing of the Initiative, Prof. Prince Michael Ikupolati, the group described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition that reflects the administration’s unwavering commitment to merit, competence, and inclusive governance.
The APC-IGG extended special gratitude to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Dr. George Akume, for his pivotal role in facilitating the appointment. The statement acknowledged the SGF’s steadfast support, describing him as a man of proven integrity in the political space and a towering figure in Nigeria’s civil service with a wide spectrum of experience.
Ambassador Tsoken himself credited much of his political growth to Senator Akume’s mentorship, noting that he aspires to emulate the SGF’s exemplary qualities—particularly his fairness, humility, and unbiased approach in dealing with humanity.
