ASHRAAF Islamic Foundation to Hold 7th Annual Ramadan Lecture Series, Prayers for the Nation Tomorrow, Saturday

The foremost Islamic organisation, ASHRAAF Islamic Foundation under the leadership of Imam Sharafudeen Abdulsalam Aliagan has set to hold her annual Ramadan Lecture Series and Prayers to the nation tomorrow, Saturday, 30th March, 2024.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Executive Director of the Foundation, Ustaz Mahmud Funsho Kasandubu and made available to Journalist, Friday.

According to the statement, “Join us at the 7th Annual National Ramadan Lecture and Prayers for the Nation, organized by the Ashraaf Islamic Foundation coming up tomorrow. This year’s event will be held at the prestigious National Centre for Women Development Auditorium, opposite the Central Bank of Nigeria.

“The theme of the event is “Balancing Religious Rites and Public Safety: The Intersection of Ramadan, Hajj, and National Security.” We believe this topic is especially relevant in today’s world, where it is crucial to find the balance between honoring our religious customs and ensuring the safety of our nation.

“We are honored to have Alhaji Jalal Ahmad Arabi, Chairman of the National Hajj Commission, as our esteemed guest speaker. His insights and expertise in managing the intersection of religious practices and national security will undoubtedly enrich our understanding of this topic.

“We are also pleased to announce that Air Vice Marshal Nurudeen Abiodun Balogun will serve as the Chairman of the Occasion. With his vast experience and knowledge, we are confident that he will provide invaluable guidance throughout the event.”

The statement further said that, “The significance of the occasion are our Special Guest of Honour, Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa, rtd. OFR, Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), and our Guest of Honour, Prof. Adam Okene Ahmed, Provost of the National Defence College. Their esteemed presence truly reflects the importance of the topic and the impact it has on our nation.

“We are delighted to have Hajia Aisha Abubakar, CEO of Tarihaan Integrated Services, as the Chairperson of the event. Her leadership and expertise will ensure an engaging and thought-provoking experience for all attendees.

“In addition, we are honored to have Dr. Nurudeen T. H. Dindi as the Spiritual Father of the Day, and Maj. Gen. AbdulMalik Halidu-Giwa, rtd. Taimoko Nupe, as the Father of the Day. Their spiritual guidance and wisdom will undoubtedly enrich our event.”

The event has Hon. Dr. Asabe Vilita Bashir, the Director-General of the National Centre for Women Development, Abuja. Her commitment to fostering dialogue and understanding between different communities makes her the perfect host for this essential gathering.
