Businesses, Financial Institution Closed Over Fear Of Protest In Kwara

In Ilorin the Kwara state capital and environs private businesses and financial institutions are partially closed for fear of possible attack by those clamouring for protest in the state.

When Correspondents went round major area which included ,Metropolitant Square ,the designated venue of the protest,Sulu-Gambari road,Post office, Taiwo road,Garin-Alimi and Murtala Mohammed way ,were partially deserted.

However all government offices visited and courts are open for business.

Speaking with newsmen in Ilorin ,a trader Segun Sanusi said the proposed protest is not necessary.

He said the protest organisers should adopt dialogue to resolve issues of interest.

Sanusi noted resolving to embark on protest would add to the hardship being experience by the common man.

As at the time of filling this report there is no sign of protest in any part of the state.

Moreover there is heavy security presence in strategic location to prevent hoodlums from attacking innocent citizens.END
