The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) today, Wednesday upheld the no-case submission made by the Senate President Bukola Saraki through his lead counsel, Mr Kanu Agabi, SAN and thereby discharging him of the false and anticipatory asset declaration charges leveled against him by the Federal Government.
The Tribunal Chairman, Danladi Umar while delivering ruling on Saraki’s no-case submission held that the prosecution did not established a prima facie case against Saraki to warrant requesting the Senate President to enter a defense.
It would be recalled that Saraki was made to face the charges immediately after he emerged as the President of the Senate against the candidate of the party, Senator Ahmed Lawan of Yobe.
With this development, Saraki may have heave a sigh of relief.
