The Honourable Minister of Defence, His Excellency Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, CON, mni, is set to participate in high-level engagements as part of a three-day state visit to France, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
The visit, which commenced on Wednesday, follows an invitation from French President Emmanuel Macron. It aims to bolster bilateral relations between Nigeria and France in areas of mutual interest, including defense, trade, and strategic partnerships.
President Tinubu arrived in Paris on Wednesday evening, accompanied by his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu. The Minister of Defence will join other Nigerian ministers and top officials in strategic meetings with the French delegation to discuss key collaborations.
A statement issued by Mati Ali, Personal Assistant Media & Publicity to the Defence Minister, emphasized the significance of the visit in advancing Nigeria’s foreign policy agenda and fostering stronger ties with France.
The state visit is scheduled to conclude on Friday, November 29, 2024.
