Gegu Debunks Allegation of Being Declared Wanted by Security Agencies

I have all my evidences for now, I don’t want any distraction. My major priority now is to see how Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo will be declared a winner come November eleven. That is why we are moving round the units and wards. I have not gone out of my base.

Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engineer Mohammed Abubarkar Basir Gegu has debunked the rumour making round the town that he has been declared wanted by security agencies on the allegation of his involvement in possession of firearms.

Engineer Gegu in a telephone conversation shortly after a rally organised by the All Progressive Congress (APC), party members and stakeholders in Lokoja Local Government Area described the rumour as an antics of failed politicians in opposition trying to dent his hard earned personality and records.

The Commissioner noted with disgust that the situation was laughable as it emanates from unrecognised source that cannot be linked to security agencies.

He berated the opposition for their cluenesness on issues based campaign saying character assassination would not debar the ruling All Progressive Congress to emerge victorious come November eleven.

Engineer Gegu promised to initiate legal actions against the perpetrators at the appropriate time emphasising that his main focus for now is to make sure the party wins.

His words:

From unit (001) near borehole in Gegu South, across the eleven units in my ward, across the one hundred and five units in Kogi Local Government Area and by extension, two hundred and seventy three units in Lokoja Local Government Area. The task alone for me is enough”. He said.

To the mammoths Supporters of the party in Lokoja, the Commissioner urged them to remain committed to the ideology of the party and shun actions that can degenerate into violence during the campaign.

He assured that the party will definitely win the election.
