The team, led by the Director of Planning and Statistics, Mrs. Barsheba Samuel, held an engagement session at the District Head’s palace, where community leaders, stakeholders and residents gathered to discuss the dangers of GBV and the need for collective action.

Mrs. Samuel commended the people of Ashaka Gari for their consistent support toward government programmes while lauded the District Head and the community welfare unit for their sustained efforts in promoting public awareness and supporting initiatives aimed at reducing gender based violence.

Speaking during the event, Mr. Jerry Sani highlighted the various forms of abuses women and children face within communities. He stressed the importance of continuous public enlightenment to put an end to the harmful practices.
