1 Mins read

A member representing Kogi West at the National Assembly (Senate) Mr Sunday Karimi has reacted to the malicious publication on the alledged docility and non performance at the red Chamber.

Mr Karimi in a telephone conversation with news men said the false and baseless publication was sponsored by failed and frustrated politicians or group who has lost political relevance and bent on creating ruse to dent his personality and good records in terms of responsive governance and delivery of the dividends of democracy to the people of the State and beyond.

He said he was forced to react despite not moved by the publication based on feedbacks on the positive disposition of the people he represent and Kogi State in general.

The senator explained that his name will remain indelible in the sand of time due to his contributions in the aspect of empowerment, particularly the financial intervention to students of tertiary institution running into millions of Naira, road rehabilitations across Kogi West Senatorial District, widows and youths empowerment as well as distribution of cash and consumable items to cushion the effect of subsidy removal.

His words ” I am undeterred by the publication my brother, very many people have responded and condemned in totality their actions. It is most likely sponsored by failed politicians whose political relevance is at the verge of extinction.

”In fact I see it as the last kick of a dying horse. Politicians with notorious history of betraying every hands that feed them will do anything to tarnish anybody’s image. From all indications and fillers from associates and friends, our team are in good stand with the people and they are appreciative.

”So far we had touched lives in the aspect of empowerment, both women and youths, students of tertiary institutions were given window to explore bursary awards and in the aspect of social amenities particularly the deplorable condition of roads in Kogi West, my signature can never be removed”

Mr Karimi warned disgruntled and failed politicians to go back to the drawing board and re strategize and stop mudslinging that can never add value to them and the people of the State.

On his performance at the Senate, Karimi said he has always been active in his legislative roles by sponsoring motions and offering support where necessary, urging his teeming supporters not to be distracted by ruse and baseless allegations.
