Dr Samuel Ortom of Benue has said that Inspector General of Police has flagrantly disboyed the Presidential order of President Muhammadu Buhari, ordering him to relocate to Benue to stop the carnage of killing being perpetrated by herdsmen in the state. Ortom added that IGP only spent a day in the state.

“After Idris’ first appearance in Benue, nobody had seen him in the state since then. He also said contrary to the IGP’s claim, killings of residents have continued”

Ortom also replied IGP Ibrahim Idris for allegedly saying a statement from the governor provoked renewed attacks in the state.

He said the statement credited to Idris had given away the police boss as being more sympathetic to the herdsmen than the victims of their attacks.

According to the Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue, said Inspector-General of Police is being loyal to the alleged herdsmen that had attacked residents of his state and their properties.
