A leading governorship aspirant in Kwara State and former lawmaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Moshood Mustapha has said that the emergence of Hon. Bashiru Omolaja Bolarinwa as the new Chairman of Kwara State Chapter, All Progressives Congress (APC) would strengthen internal democracy in the party.

Hon. Mustapha made this disclosure while fielding questions from newsmen after State Congress held at Arch Santa Arena on Saturday.

He said Bolarinwa is a true democrat who will encourage members’ participation in decision making within the party.

Mustapha noted that democracy can only thrive when people are giving opportunity to choose their leaders and candidates for elections.

The former federal lawmaker urged the new executives to intensify mobilization of more members into APC ahead of 2019 general elections.

Mustapha reiterated  the state chapter’s commitment to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election bid, adding that Kwarans/residents are enjoying his government.
