Is The Nigerian Government Disconnect With The People Intentional?

4 Mins read

The Nigerian government suffocates, chokes the life out of, its constituents by its humongous failure to CONNECT with and RELATE TO the Nigerian people.
The Nigerian government threatened the people for weeks against protesting, a HUMAN RIGHT that is protected by the Nigerian Constitution that was drafted in 1999 AND The United Nations Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) that was created in 1948.

Tinubu FINALLY addressed the Nigerian people days after the Nationwide Protest began. After at least 40 people were killed by law enforcement that purposely tried to escalate the situation instead of protecting the peaceful protestors.

After the protestors sent demands, Tinubu decided to read a script from a teleprompter – a script that had been leaked 6 hours earlier online

There are videos online showing people reading the script along with Tinubu as it aired Sunday morning.

Nigerians were extremely disappointed at his dismissive behavior, his lack of compassion and empathy towards the very people he is supposed to serve and his refusal to address the demands of THE PEOPLE – in this so-called ‘democracy.’
As a Diasporan residing here in Nigeria, I observe the culture that is Nigeria and the politics and government that, unfortunately, stifles and suffocates it.
Yes….Suffocates NIGERIA 🇳🇬
How…you may ask?

The Nigerian government suffocates, chokes the life out of, its constituents by its humongous failure to CONNECT with and RELATE TO the Nigerian people.
The Nigerian government threatened the people for weeks against protesting, a HUMAN RIGHT that is protected by the Nigerian Constitution that was drafted in 1999 AND The United Nations Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) that was created in 1948.

Nigeria became a Member of the United Nations on October 7, 1960. This means that the Nigerian government is under the jurisdiction of and subjected TO the World Court.

The World Court – also known as the International Court of Justice – is the international version of the Supreme Courts in Nigeria and the United States. The World Court is the Supreme Courts of all countries supreme courts.

If a legal or human rights issue remains unresolved on a national level after constituents have attempted to ‘dialogue’ and assert their human rights and the national government IGNORES the cries of the people, those people have a right and duty to submit a Human Rights complaint to the United Nations.
They can submit the human rights violations at https://www.ohchr.org/en/hr-bodies/hrc/complaint-procedure/hrc-complaint-procedure-index.

It is a shame that international intervention sometimes is necessary especially when it comes to human rights violations of peoples of African descent. But the fact is is that MOST of the time, when OUR people are violated at a HUMAN (NOT MERELY A CIVIL) level, the world chooses to ignore our cries.

When George Floyd was executed by White Supremacist ex police officer Derek Chauvin in front of the world, the world literally went into a global uproar and protested. It was only after the WORLD learned what happened that actions took place to rectify the matter and render justice for Floyd and his family.

This was in Amerikkka though. Where White Supremacists openly are racist, working in jobs where they can assert their racial authority and ideologies, protected by systemic racism.
But HOW is AFRICAN ELITE SUPREMACY able to exist and operate…against their OWN PEOPLE here?

WHY is it that the Nigerian government cannot relate to its OWN PEOPLE?
As I listen to Tinubu, to Wike, to Remi, I realize they REALLY DON’T relate to the average Nigerian. Or even the average Diasporan or African American.

There is something about public office that corrupts. It could be there was a time when the Tinubus could relate to the suffering of the people. Maybe long ago when Tinubu himself protested against Goodluck Jonathan, he could relate to the people. He actually CARED ABOUT the people.
MAYBE…

But this Tinubu we saw yesterday was a different Tinubu. He was a cold, uncompassionate, heartless, insincere politrixan who didn’t care that blood was spilled or that he is hypocritically asking folks to not protest because now HE is in office and don’t want to deal with REAL issues. He just wants to eliminate all questions and demands of the people.
And what is it that they are demanding?
GOOD GOVERNANCE?
FOOD?
SECURITY?
FREEDOM?
Governance that represents the needs and desires of the PEOPLE. Isn’t that what a democracy is? Isn’t that what UNITY is?
TRUE UNITY is displayed in the trenches with the PEOPLE. It doesn’t threaten to or silences the CRIES OF THE people because you have to look good to the West or the world. Or to potential ‘investors’ gained earlier this year in Switzerland at the WEF.

Wise investors are doing their homework and realizing this whole thing has been a sham. Nigeria is in distress…I’m convinced an orchestrated distress. And the Nigerian Government has failed it’s people.
Tinubu has absolutely NO COMPASSION towards the people! Or the suffering of the people…HIS PEOPLE!

HOW is it that a CHRISTIAN PASTOR can sit back and watch what this Government is doing to this nation? And continue to church? Or ACT LIKE it’s not happening…at the hands of the man they are MARRIED to?

Yahusha aka Jesus was ALWAYS MOVED towards compassion towards the POOR. He stopped whatever He was doing during His earthly ministry to feed the hungry. House the homeless. Heal the sick. He who will hold the governments OF THE WORLD upon HIS Shoulders, the King of kings, interrupted His sermons to meet the needs OF THE PEOPLE!
HE RELATED TO THE PEOPLE!!!
The fact that Tinubu felt it was ok to read from a teleprompter a script that never addressed ONE issue protestors brought up and in passing mentioned the people he authorized to be unalived simply for saying “I’M HUNGRY!” shows that …I don’t even have the words to describe such an individual.

The law enforcement/military that complies to these CONTINUAL human rights violations against Nigerians need to know that there is a higher authority than Tinubu that WILL render justice for the blood spilled on demand.

YAH IS NOT MOCKED-WHATSOEVER A MAN SOWS THAT SHALL HE ALSO REAP.
Derek Chauvin thought the wicked Amerikkkan racist system would protect him, too….
