Karimi Education Foundation, Tinubu Support Group Launch ₦300m Bursary Scheme for Kogi Students

The Senator Sunday Steve Karimi Education Foundation, in partnership with the Tinubu Support Group, has launched the second edition of its bursary scheme aimed at supporting undergraduates of Kogi State origin in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

According to a statement issued by Senator Karimi’s media office on Friday in Lokoja, a total of ₦300 million will be disbursed to eligible students under the scheme.

A total of 3,000 students will benefit from the initiative, each receiving ₦100,000. The distribution will be spread across the three senatorial districts of the state: 610 beneficiaries from Kogi Central, 1,000 from Kogi East, and 1,390 from Kogi West.

The statement also noted that only applicants with accounts in recognized commercial banks—First Bank, UBA, Fidelity Bank, Zenith Bank, Union Bank, Access Bank, and Keystone Bank—will be considered. Accounts with fintech platforms such as Opay, Moniepoint, PalmPay, and others will not be accepted.

The application portal will open on August 1, 2025, and close on August 31, 2025. The Foundation clarified that any applications submitted before this date have been cancelled.
