Kwara NUJ Correspondents’ Chapel Morns Late Yusuf Abubakar

The Kwara State Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) commiserates with the family of the pioneer General Manager of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) Harmony Station, Idofian in Kwara State, Alhaji Yusuf Abubakar who passed on in early hours of Sunday, the 1st October, 2017, marking Nigeria’s Independence Day.

 

 

The chapel in a statement by its Chairman, Mr Layi Olanrewaju and Secretary, Mallam Umar Abdulwahab described the news of the death of the late veteran journalist and former Chairman of the Correspondents’ chapel as a sad and painful one.

 

 

The statement added that the late Yusuf was a devout Muslim and rallying point for members as he played a vital role in the stability of the over 40 years old chapel.

 

 

The statement commiserated with the families of the deceased, members of the Correspondents’ chapel and the entire Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) for the irreparable loss.

 

 

It prayed Allah to grant the deceased aljanat firdaous and family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
