Low Generation Causes Erratic Power supply in Kogi – Engr. Unuaromi, State Technical Officer

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) says the current epileptic power supply in some parts of the state is occasioned by a low generation of electricity Nationwide.

The Technical Officer in charge of Kogi State AEDC, Engineer Michael Unuaromi stated this in an interview with newsmen in Lokoja.

Engineer Unuaromi said the epileptic supply was a national phenomenon due to low generation which has direct impact on the distributions.

According to him, kogi state has been operating on one thousand megawatts which has drastically reduse to about three hundred, due to low generation from the national grid.

He explained that the low supply has affected the distributions cutting across the Federal Capital Territory, Niger, Kogi, and Nasarawa states.

Engineer Unuaromi noted that the instability of the system had led to a collapse in the supply which the company is currently working on.

He emphasised that it will take a little time to stabilize the system and appealed to customers to bear with the company.

Engineer Unuaromi also explained that some parts of the state that depend on feeder one to three operating on thirty three kilowatts were stable except those in eleven kilowatts which requires rationing amidst low supply from the national grid.

He emphasised that the management is up and doing to see to the improvement of the situation and urged customer to bear with the company.
