Misilli Community Development Foundation Enrols 50 Poor, Vulnerable Children in School in Gombe

Misilli Community Development Foundation has enrolled another set of fifty poor and vulnerable children in Dawaki ward of Gombe state

Speaking at the presentation of school bags and writing materials to the beneficiaries which took place at the residence of Late Alh Uba Misilli at Dawaki quarters Gombe, the founder of the foundation who is also the Director General, Press Affairs, Government House,Gombe, Alhaji Isma’il Uba Misilli said the gesture is aimed at complementing the educational developmental drive of Governor Inuwa Yahaya.
Additionally, Alh Isma’il Misilli was represented by the chairman of the foundation, according to him, “It’s a way of giving back to the society especially to the less privileged ones.”
Giving an overview, the chairman of the foundation, Yusuf Hamza said 150 poor and vulnerable children are currently benefitting under the foundation established in 2019 and took off fully in 2023.
Hamza further explained that the foundation touches three critical areas to include education, infrastructure and humanitarian services, citing solar street lights and drilling of boreholes among others.
In his own remarks, the representative of the State Commissioner of Education, the director school services, Alhaji Yusuf Abubakar Mohammed and the Special Guest, State Head of Service represented by Suleiman Musa Bako gave pat on the back of Isma’il Uba Misilli for coming to the aid of the poor and vulnerable children which is in tandem to Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s educational policy aimed at taking children out of the streets through school enrollment.
Commenting, the Director General Gombe Media Corporation,Alhaji Ibrahim Isa applauded Isma’il Uba Misilli for giving a sense of belonging to vulnerable children through his foundation and announced the donation of 200,000 naira to the foundation.
The chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Gombe State Council, Comrade Faruk Mu’azu Gombe while commending the gesture of the DG Press announced the donation of exercise books on behalf of the union to the foundation.
Barrister Lawan Uba who welcomed the guests and Alh Ado Misilli called on parents to send their wards to school as education is the best legacy they can leave behind.
An  elder in the area , Alhaji Yaya Hammari applauded the founder for taking the footsteps of his grand father and father of the founder late Alhaji Misilli and Uba Misilli.
Some parents of the beneficiaries, expressed appreciation to Alh Isma’il Uba Misilli for putting a smile on the faces of their children, praying God to reward him.
