One of the leading governorship aspirants in Kwara State, Honourable Moshood Mustapha has denied any invitation by Kwara State Police Command for questioning saying that, it is false, untrue and figment of imagination of the writers. He maintained that Police has its modus operandi in carrying out their operation and not on social media or on the pages of newspapers. He therefore advise politicians to leave Police out of politics.

Mustapha therefore described as laughable series of write-ups being circulated on social media in the last few days and the latest of which is captioned “Hon. Mashood Mustapha invited by Kwara Police Command”, He said, this is false, untrue and unfounded.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Media Aide to Hon. Moshood Mustapha, Malam Abdulazeez Kayode and made available to journalists..

According to the statement, “Kwara State Police Command has their modus operandi and will never invite anyone for questioning on the pages of the newspaper; neither will they do that on the social media.”

He added that, Police have a backlog of work in their hands and should not be dragged into the politics of APC in Alanamu ward.

It said: “Hon. Kayode Omotose’s charade is not surprising, but the irony of it is that he is dragging the APC in Alanamu into a political turmoil that will not benefit anyone on the long run. “

The statement further stated: “Hon. Moshood Mustapha is very civilized, widely travelled and will never descend so low to threaten anyone, let alone a person like Omotose who has severally benefitted from his benevolence.

He however challenged Omotose to provide the evidence of MM’s threat to his life, maintaining that, in this era of technological advancement, the onus lies on Hon. Omotose to proof such a threat to his life.

“The police should be allowed to do their work and not be derailed by Omotose’s baseless accusation. It advised.

The statement maintained that, “Since the declaration of his gubernatorial ambition, Hon. Moshood Mustapha has been under series of attacks from all quarters, but realizing the futility of their gimmicks, the political saboteurs decided to use some elements within the APC, particularly in Alanamu ward to advance their selfish interest.

“Hon. MM is a force to be reckoned with in the APC, Kwara state and Nigeria as a whole, and he will not be intimidated out of a party he suffered to build.”

Pointed out that, “It’s so unfortunate that “consultation across all spectrums” has been termed to be “hobnobbing with the opposition”. Irrespective of political affiliations, Kwara state is for all and a good leader must carry everyone along in governance.

“Hon. MM is a man who believes in Inclusive Economic Growth where everyone will enjoy the dividends of democracy and he will always fight for what he believes in. He remains a committed card carrying member of the APC and he will not be bullied out of the party.

“We however urge everyone to obtain their PVCs and vote for the change they truly deserve come 2019. It concluded.
