An intending gubernatorial aspirant come 2019 general election, Comrade Richard Gbawuan has said that his government will be peoples’ centred if he assumed leadership of the state as the governor of the Food basket of the nation, Benue State.

The Zonal Secretary, Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN) stated this in an interview in Makurdi.

He said the present administration in the state has failed woefully owing to the failure of the government to address the problems of the state even with the quantum of money the state has received from the federal government.

He wondered why the state has continued to wallow in abject poverty even with the receipt of Bailout funds from Paris Club refunds as well as monthly allocation from federation account. Gbawuan promised that the down trodden will be given top most priority if given the mandate to serve people of Benue.
