NGIJ Election: Aliagan Appoints Taiwo Solanke as DG Campaign

The immediate past National Secretary of the Nigerian Guild of Investigative Journalists, Mallam AbdulRahman Aliagan has appointed Pioneer Vice President of the guild and Publisher Amebo Newspaper, Taiwo Solanke as his Campaign Director General for 2024 NGIJ election.

Aliagan in a statement issued on Saturday said Taiwo Solanke, a veteran journalist and committed member of the guild from Ogun State will lead the campaign ahead of August 3 election.

He also named a veteran journalist from Lagos Chapter, Kareem Abiodun BIGGIE as Deputy Director General.

The statement indicates that Eniola Awokoya will handle Contact and Mobilization for the election.

Aliagan promised to release his comprehensive manifesto and vision for NGIJ on Monday, July 29 inline with Electoral Committee’s guidelines for the election.

Recall that 2024 NGIJ Electoral Committee chaired by Comrade Oladigbo Olalekan Efficient in a statement says campaign will run from July 29 to August 2, 2024.
