Niger South Senate Race: My Agenda Is People-Centered Development – Ndarani

Mr Mohammed Ndarani, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) says his interest in the race for the Niger South Senatorial seat is for a people-centered agenda anchored on economic growth, social welfare, and infrastructural development.

Ndalari disclosed this during the formal declaration of his intention to contest the senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

While addressing party state executives and supporters at the APC state secretariat in Minna, Niger State, the learned silk noted that his ambition was driven by a desire to galvanise socio-economic development in Niger state.

The Hukunci Nupe and Hukunci Hausa described his ambition as divinely inspired and timely, declaring that his candidacy represents a mission that must be fulfilled.

“Ocupying office is not the ultimate goal, building influence that benefits the people is, and my aspiration is to take my zone and Niger State to the peak of development.

“My dynamic leadership has always been rooted in discovery, foresight, and the courage to confront the most pressing realities of human existence.”

The Nupe born politician emphasized that his people-oriented development framework, which would guide his actions if elected would focus on education, healthcare, agriculture, security, and economic expansion.

“Our goal is to ensure that every citizen has access to quality life and services that will make them enjoy the full dividends of democracy,” he stated.

Ndalari pledged support for Gov. Mohammed Bago, describing him as a leader committed to transforming the state.

“We are in the party to support the governor in consolidating the development of Niger State.

“We are equally committed to complementing his laudable efforts and advancing his vision for a greater Niger,” he assured.

The senior lawyer paid tribute to prominent APC figures while also acknowledging the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom he praised for driving national reforms and economic transformation.

He also extended his respect and gratitude to the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar for his fatherly guidance.

Ndarani who is a founding member of the APC reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the party in the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He urged party members to prioritise competence, compassion, and accessibility in selecting the party’s candidate.

“When the time comes to choose our candidate, choose someone who will truly represent the people, someone who will remain accessible after the election and understands the pain and hopes of our people.

“Our people deserve leadership that is accountable and committed to real development rather than symbolic representation.

“Our development agenda would include youth and women empowerment to strengthen families and local economies.

“In the education sector, there would be scholarships and improved access to quality learning facilities so that no child should lose opportunities due to poverty.

“We will also tackle infrastructure like roads, electricity, water supply, and healthcare,as priorities and also attract federal interventions to address long-standing deficits.”

“In addition, I also fought for 13 percent derivation for Niger state and by God’s grace as a senator, I will ensure that my people enjoy the dividends of the natural resources that God has given to us,” he vowed.

Ndarani who has been committed to humanitarian interventions in Niger and across the nation even before declaring his intention to vie for political office assured that his agenda is aimed at restoring hope and and dignity to the constituency.

In his remarks, the State Chairman of the APC, Hon. Aminu Bobi, described the party as strong and united, while expressing confidence in Ndarani’s aspiration.

Bobi described Ndarani as a critical stakeholder and loyal party member with widespread support among members and party leaders.

He also emphasised the need for the party to field credible candidates capable of securing victory in the 2027 general elections.

He said that apart from being a renowned lawyer, Ndarani is also a philanthropist and strong advocate for the creation of Eduko State by carving Nupe extractions out of Niger, Kogi, and Kwara states, and the FCT.
