The former Minister of Sports and Youth Development and the current National Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), Malam Bolaji Abdullahi has charged Muslim faithful and indeed, Nigerians to be grateful to God for what He has endowed the country with also in whatever situation Nigerians found themselves.
Abdullahi dropped this hint at a Special Ramadan lecture series titled: “Inna Ma’a Al’Usri Yusran” meaning ”Verily With Every Difficulty, There is Relief” organised by one of the leading Islamic organisations in Nigeria, Nasirul-Lahi-Li-Fatih Society of Nigeria, NASFAT, Utako, Abuja.
Abdullahi who is also the Chairman at the Ramadan lecture series said, the challenges we are faced with in this country today is the challenges of ingratitude to God, adding that Nigerians are not being grateful to God, he said, “Allah has blessed Nigeria with so much that we waste precious resources of Allah so much.”
“The resources that God endowed Nigeria with can go round but greed and self-centeredness remain our problem. When only one person build so much expensive houses that he cannot occupied and left those houses empty, which is waste.” He lamented.
He also quarried that the reliefs, blessings and mercies that Almighty Allah has been enriching us with, he asked, what have we done to appreciate Him?
The APC spokesman thereby enjoyed Muslims and Nigerians in general to be grateful to God, our creator who has endowed us with so much.
In his Lecture, the Guest Lecturer, Alhaji Abdullateef Muhammad Bello, the Zonal Missionary Director, NASFAT, Ogun State acknowledged that the topic of the lecture is all-encompassing saying that the chapter where the phrase of the topic was extracted was revealed to Holy Prophet Muhammad as a relief from all his difficulties and challenges, He enjoyed him, the Prophet Muhammad to reveal it unto the mankind.
Bello encouraged Muslim to be patience, endure and persevere in any of the difficulty, calamity and challenges that befall them; he said, it shall become history no matter what. He said.
The Guest Lecturer, taking Muslim faithful through the period of the Prophet Muhammad, he said, “There was no type of challenges that Holy Prophet had never faced with”. He added, “Holy Prophet had ever go hungry, he losses six out of seven children, he was persecuted and forced to go out of his beloved father’s land”, “So what else can you say”? He quarried.
Bello pointed out as encapsulates in the topic of the discussion that with steadfastness, patience, endurance and strong faith and belief, Holy Prophet overcomes all these challenges and become stronger. Today, Holy Prophet is our hero and role model that we cherished so much.
“If Holy Prophet had gave up or saw it as an end during all these trying time he faced in his lifetime, who would have championed the course of Islam?” He asked.
He maintained that the topic was so apt with the Nigeria’s present condition, saying that presently, Nigeria is faced with enormous challenges of Economic Recession, unemployment, insecurity from Boko Haram, he said all these problem would be overcome and Nigeria will come out stronger.
Bello thereby advised Nigerians to be steadfast in prayers and have faith in Almighty Allah, he said that all the difficulties will be a thing of past. He also maintained that having a challenge should not be seen as the end of it all; he said it could be that problem that will take one to his or her promised land.
According to him, he said Allah knows everything about us and about our problems and challenges and He, Allah is going to address and resolve them for us. He charged Muslims to go back to God in any of the challenges and difficulties we find ourselves. Allah is sufficient for us. He emphasised.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the Branch Chairman of NASFAT, Dr Nasir O. Raji who welcomed all the invited Guests, he highlights all the activities that have been taking place in NASFAT, he enjoys the Well-to-do-Muslim to help in some of these projects and programmes that are on-going in NASFAT.
He said, “NASFAT presently embarking on the construction of its Model school, NASFAT also has a big parcel of land at Gudu are of FCT, we are looking for partners to develop the land, anybody who is interested in partnership should indicate interest.
Raji also disclosed that NASFAT in its Ramadan feeding programme do feeds more than seven hundred people in every Iftar, breaking of fasting. He however appreciate the Ramadan Committee headed by Bar. Alawaye, he appreciates them and he prayed that Almighty Allah will reward them abundantly.
The Abuja Zonal Missionary and the Chief Imam of NASFAT, Abuja, Imam Sharafudeen AbdulSalam Aliagan prayed for the President Muhammadu Buhari’s quick recovery, hale and healthy. He also prayed for Nigeria as a country, Nigerians as people as well as all political leaders, so that they can deliver on their campaign promises.
He prayed, “May Allah help in fixing this country and brings the country, Nigeria back to her proper position among the community of great nations. May Allah ill and resurrect all the downturns in this country so that the country can stand up socially, politically and economically very strongly.”
Aliagan also prayed specially, for the Governor and the First Lady of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Tanko Almakura, his wife Hajia Mairo Maryam Tanko Almakura respectively for their kind support for NASFAT at all time. He equally prayed for Nasarawa State as a whole.
“May Almighty Allah continue to be pleased and gentle with you, May Almighty Allah takes over the administration of Nasarawa State and makes Nasarawa State governable for the Governor.” He prayed.
He also prayed for those who use to support Islam and NASFAT in all its projects, he asked Almighty God to reward them abundantly; he extends the prayer to the generality of Muslim Ummah and Nigerians in general.
Among the dignitaries at the event is the Chairman Board of Trustees of NASFAT, the Managing Director of Federal Housing Authority, FHA, the NASFAT Council of elders as well as all members of the organisation and Muslims in general.
