Alhaji Suleiman Yunusa, the National Director of Mobilization and Contact for the Nigeria Liberty Movement (NLM), has called for unity and synergy among all stakeholders of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and NLM to ensure the success of the newly merged political entity.
Yunusa, a respected grassroots mobilizer, made the call during the official merger event and handover of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) certificate from APM to NLM in Abuja on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
Commending the leadership of APM for their foresight, Yunusa stated:
“Today’s historic event has empowered NLM to fully participate in Nigeria’s political space. It is now time to actualize our ideology of nurturing a new breed of leadership and to foster continuous collaborative synergy aimed at uplifting the downtrodden.”
He urged members of the mobilization team, stakeholders, and well-wishers across the country to intensify grassroots engagement, describing it as a national call to action.
Yunusa extended his appreciation to key figures who contributed to the success of the merger. He specifically thanked APM Founder and Chairman, Alhaji Muhammadu Musa Bagana, for his vision and leadership. He also acknowledged the efforts of NLM National Chairman, Ambassador Mesach Thompson; National Director of Coalition, HRH Ogah Attah Alhaji Tijani Musa; and National Director of Operations, Otunba Kingsley Adejumo, for their dedication.
“I also appreciate everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to witness this epoch-making event,” he added.
Representing Alhaji Bagana at the event, Pastor Frank Oluwa, APM’s National Organising Secretary and Personal Assistant to the Chairman, confirmed the finality of the merger.
“We are now full members of the Nigeria Liberty Movement. APM has officially ceased to operate as an independent entity, and I say this with full authority vested in me,” Oluwa declared.
He encouraged the NLM leadership to make prudent use of the merger opportunity, noting that the certificate was handed over on a “platter of gold.”
