Ododo’s Victory at Appeal Court, a Pointer to Wide Acceptance of APC in Kogi State – Barr. Halima Gaya

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s victory at the appeal court has been described as a pointer to wide acceptance of All Progressive Congress Party across the three Senatorial Districts of Kogi State.

An All Progressive Congress Stalwart from the Eastern Senatorial District of Kogi State, Barrister Doctor Halima Alfa Gaya in statement made available to newsman in Lokoja said the beauty of democracy is embedded in the ultimate will of the people as well as the constitutional rights of individual.

Doctor Gaya said the victory does not come as a surprise to APC family and majority who wants the best for Kogi State.

She urged politicians to to always remember the ideological basis of true politics and be mindful of their passion to serve and not rule emphasing that such perception is devoid of bitterness, anger and over ambition.

Her words “Politics is interesting, it is entrenched on the ultimate will of the people, their rights, their choices as well as vision. It is all about interest and when you place people’s interest above yours, you will definitely know the meaning of true service.

‘At that point you can definitely contribute to the society whether in power or not. So the idea of court, bitterness, and distractions are needless. All Progress Congress Party of course right now is a conglomerate of other parties. At any level, I believe politicians can build a good society together’.

She also congratulated Professor Ahmed Usman Ogbo on his reappointment as the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic noting that the decision was a recognition of excellence and performance.

The APC Stalwart whished him success in his endeavours.
