
Former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly and Professor of Constitutional Law, Prof. Ali Ahmad, has congratulated Hon. Mashood Bakare on his induction as a Fellow of the Institute of Negotiators, Community and Social Development Experts (INCOS-DE).
In a statement issued on Sunday, Prof. Ahmad described the honour as “well-deserved recognition for a man of exceptional dedication, competence, and service to humanity.”
According to him, Hon. Bakare’s induction is a testament to his enduring passion for grassroots development, accountability, and capacity building. “My dear brother and colleague, Hon. Mashood Bakare, your induction as a Fellow of INCOS-DE is a clear reflection of your unwavering commitment to public service. This recognition further affirms your remarkable contributions to Kwara State and the nation at large,” he said.
Prof. Ahmad fondly recalled their time together in the 8th Kwara State House of Assembly, where Hon. Bakare served as Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, noting his transparency, diligence, and patriotism. “You led with integrity and efficiency, setting a high standard for others to emulate,” he added.
He also commended Hon. Bakare’s steadfast loyalty to the Saraki Dynasty, describing him as “a grassroots politician whose political devotion and commitment to the ideals of the Dynasty remain firm and inspiring.”
Prof. Ahmad further highlighted the prestige of the INCOS-DE Fellowship, noting the Institute’s partnerships with global institutions such as the Møller Institute, Cambridge, Liberty University, USA, and the United Nations, which he said would enable Hon. Bakare to further advance community empowerment and attract development opportunities to his constituency.
The former Speaker concluded by praying for Hon. Bakare’s continued success and divine guidance. “May Almighty Allah grant you more wisdom, good health, and greater opportunities to serve humanity. May this recognition open new doors for impactful contributions to sustainable development and social advancement,” he said.
