Renowned Islamic Preacher, Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello, Passes Away at 84

The Islamic community in Nigeria mourns the loss of one of its most prominent figures, Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello, who passed away in the early hours of Friday at the age of 84. The revered preacher died peacefully at his residence in Akobo Estate, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Sheikh Bello, widely respected for his eloquence and deep knowledge of Islamic teachings, was a beloved figure in the Muslim Ummah and a guiding light for many. Known for his dynamic sermons, he dedicated decades to spreading the teachings of Islam, advocating for peace, unity, and moral rectitude.

The news of his passing was confirmed by fellow Islamic scholar and preacher, Sheikh Taofeeq Akeugbagold, who shared a heartfelt tribute on his Facebook page. In his post, Sheikh Akeugbagold expressed profound grief, describing Sheikh Bello as a luminary whose teachings will continue to inspire generations.

“Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello was not just a preacher; he was a father to many, a mentor, and an embodiment of Islamic virtues. His legacy is one that will remain evergreen in our hearts,” Sheikh Akeugbagold wrote.

The late Sheikh Bello’s influence extended beyond Ibadan, as he was a frequent speaker at Islamic events across Nigeria, earning him admiration from diverse audiences.

Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced soon, in accordance with Islamic rites. The Muslim community and well-wishers are urged to pray for the repose of his soul and the strength for his family and followers to bear this irreplaceable loss.

Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello leaves behind a legacy of faith, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to the Islamic cause. May Allah grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus.
