“This gesture is our own way of investing in credible leadership and empowering our members to serve their communities and the nation effectively.

“We believe that by supporting them at this critical stage, we are contributing to a better political culture and strengthening democratic participation.”

— Saifullahi Babangida

The President of the SAIHA Network and Chairman/CEO of Vinicious Global Ltd, Saifullahi Babangida, has announced a major support initiative for members of the network seeking elective political offices across Nigeria. In a move described as both strategic and philanthropic, Babangida pledged to fully cover the cost of expression of interest and nomination forms for all SAIHA members contesting elections, regardless of their political party affiliations.

According to him, the intervention is designed to ease the financial burden often associated with Nigeria’s electoral process and to encourage capable individuals within the network to actively participate in governance. He emphasized that leadership should not be limited by financial constraints, especially for individuals who have demonstrated commitment to community development and national progress.

Among the beneficiaries of this initiative is Ibrahim Mohamed Ajia, a Ph.D holder contesting for the Kwara Central Senatorial District under the APC. Others include Abubakar Umar Barde, vying for the Donga/Takum/Ussa Federal Constituency seat in Taraba State on the platform of APGA, and Sanusi Galadima, contesting for Jalingo/Mambilla Federal Constituency under the APC.

Also listed are Muhammed Auwal Sarari, aspiring to represent Kumbotso Federal Constituency in Kano State under the ADC; Mansir Shehu, contesting for Ringim/Taura Federal Constituency in Jigawa State under the APC; and AbdulRahman Saleh Hassan, a candidate for Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency in Plateau State under the APC.

Further beneficiaries include Bashir Ahmad, contesting for Gaya/Ajingi/Albasu Federal Constituency in Kano State under the APC, as well as Sammaila Muktar, a legal practitioner seeking to represent Nassarawa Federal Constituency in Kano State under the ADC, among others.

Babangida noted that the decision to support members across different political parties underscores the non-partisan nature of the SAIHA Network, which prioritizes competence, service, and community impact over partisan considerations.

He expressed confidence that the beneficiaries, if elected, would uphold the values of integrity, accountability, and people-oriented leadership.

“This gesture is our own way of investing in credible leadership and empowering our members to serve their communities and the nation effectively,” Babangida stated. “We believe that by supporting them at this critical stage, we are contributing to a better political culture and strengthening democratic participation.”

The announcement comes on the heels of the network’s recently concluded charity week in Gombe State, where SAIHA Network extended financial support to petty traders and vulnerable households. The intervention provided seed capital to small-scale business owners, enabling them to expand their ventures and improve their livelihoods.

SAIHA Network, based in Abuja, has continued to distinguish itself as a socially conscious organization committed to humanitarian service, empowerment initiatives, and community development. With a growing reputation for impactful interventions, the network has consistently championed causes aimed at uplifting the less privileged and fostering unity among its members.

Observers and beneficiaries alike have commended Saifullahi Babangida for his sustained generosity and visionary leadership.

His latest initiative has been widely described as a bold and commendable effort to democratize access to political participation while nurturing a new generation of leaders.

Indeed, Babangida’s continuous interventions, ranging from economic empowerment to political support reflecting a deep commitment to societal advancement.

His actions not only inspire hope among beneficiaries but also set a compelling example of how private citizens and organizations can contribute meaningfully to national development.
